EMK Interiors offers invaluable Luxury Full-Service Interior Design, from concept through finish décor for Clients planning to build a new construction home or renovate or add-to an existing home.

Full-Service Interior Design Service is billed as a flat fee and determined by each individual project and its complexity. Although the majority of my work is in Connecticut, I also work in New York, Florida and elsewhere for Clients who are aligned to my values and processes.
So how does Luxury Full Service Interior Design Work?
The process breaks down into four stages which are strategically outlined to enable me to manage the project most efficiently and allow you to enjoy the process. I’ve done this many times before, so let me take the reins and let you focus on the fun stuff! After all, it’s supposed to be fun!
Step 1:
Tell me everything: Project Analysis
2 weeks
I believe that your space should speak “for” you as much as it speaks “to” you and this phase is all about you! Think of this entire process as an on-going conversation and we will start with a Consultation to establish the fundamentals of the project. We will discuss your aspirations for the space, what you need the space to do for you, your desired style direction, the scope, the budget and fees. It’s a discovery phase that allows us to look at a clear outline of what the intentions are. The result of this phase is a Project Proposal for my Design Services that breaks down the details.
step 2:
Taking Shapes: Conceptual Design
8 weeks
Conceptual design is the foundation of the value in interior design. It involves evaluating your best interests to create a unique solution to your problems that looks good, feels good and works to improve your life.
In this phase I review all the information we’ve discussed about you, your family, and your lifestyle, and take into consideration anything else that could have any impact on the design, including the architectural styling of your home, any adjoining rooms and even how the sun moves through your space.
I paint the big picture of what I envision for the space and how you will feel living there through images, space plans, sample palettes and renderings. The result of this phase is a space plan you’ll love, a more specific direction to the design details, and a budget evaluation.
step 3:
All the Details: Detailed Design
8 weeks
After we’ve completed the conceptual design phase, I will get down to the details.
The majority of this phase is about sourcing the perfect elements. This includes the specifics for all finishes, lighting fixtures, furnishings and everything else that makes your space amazing. I will finalize the minute details on the plans, elevations and produce any required construction details or custom millwork drawings to go out for bids.
You will be presented with a detailed proposal for your approval that clearly communicates all the components of each proposed item and its costs. At the conclusion of this phase you will have a detailed design package and clear project budget.
STEP 4:
Making it Happen: Ordering and Execution
Timeline specific TO individual project
This is where things start getting real! I take care of all the purchasing and execution. After proposals are reviewed and approved and payments are received, the ordering begins. I review the schedule and continuously communicate with any merchants and contractors involved in the project to coordinate installations and deliveries. For larger construction/renovation projects, I like to visit the site often to review progress and make myself available to answer any questions that arise, (because they most certainly will))!
I have a high standard for quality and ensure that is reflected in the outcome by confirming it is consistent throughout the entire process.
This phase results in you turning the key to the luxury and ease of your new life in your new space.
